Thankfully, this is far from the truth and here’s what’s at RISK – if we just “live with it.”
Diabetes affects every major organ in the body.
It puts you at greater risk for major complications such as kidney failure, blindness, and nerve damage that can lead to amputation (removal by surgery) of a toe, foot, or leg.
In addition, Diabetes has been shown to exist simultabeously with other illnesses. Often referred to as “co-morbidities”, your life is at greater risk from:Â
- Heart Disease
- Obesity
- Neuropathy
- Dementia
- Depression (which negatively impacts quality of life)
- … and more




This is why pre-diabetes shouldn’t be ignored!
Some people think that the word “pre” means the situation isn’t serious, and might even go away.
Prediabetes however is actually a WARNING from your body of a serious health condition. It puts you at increased risk of developing Type 2 diabetes, heart diseases, and stroke.
Knowing what steps to take next can be confusing. So MANY questions:
- What can I eat?
- Will this diagnosis shorten my life?
- Do I HAVE to take medication for life – and will it work?
- Is it just going to get worse and worse?



You’re not alone. We’re currently experiencing what’s known as “The Diabetes Epidemic.”
Prediabetes is being diagnosed with more frequency than ever before. People with prediabetes have blood glucose levels that are above normal but below the defined threshold of diabetes.
Sadly, statistics show that without proper intervention, people with prediaetes are very likely to become Type 2 diabetics within a decade – or less!

Type III Diabetes = Dementia / Alzheimers
It may be hard to imagine a connection between diabetes and Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia, but it’s real – and it’s so strong that some experts are now referring to it as Type 3 diabetes or brain diabetes.
What is it? High blood sugar leads to inflammation throughout your body and brain. This chronic inflammation can result in progression from Type 2 diabetes to Alzhimer’s disease and other forms of dementia, marked by memory deficits and a dramatic decline in cognitive function.
While all people with diabetes have a 60 percent increased risk of developing any type of dementia, including Alzheimer’s, recent research suggests that women with Type 2 diabetes have a 19 percent greater risk of a certain type, known as vascular dementia (which is caused by problems with blood supply to the brain) than men do(4).




You don’t have to be a diabetes “statistic”, and you don’t just have to “live with it.”
